The paper is playing an important role in spreading the message about great winter activities in Central Maine.

I am supportive of all winter activities but think it is vital we get people of all ages outside in the winter months. I want to thank the photographers for catching people sledding, ice fishing, skiing, ice climbing, skating and so much more. I also want to thank the writers who cover the activities that highlight the great things from events at our facility (Lake George Regional Park) to our neighbors up the road at Eaton Mountain and their efforts to again make Eaton a skiing and tubing destination.

The coverage of the Quarry Road Facility in Waterville is so important to highlight the growth of this up-and-coming four-season recreational resource. Even with social media, the newspaper plays a vital role when it comes to reminding people of the resources close to home. A story or a picture is worth so much more than a thousand words.
