BELFAST — Waldo Community Action Partners raised more than $6,000 last month and met a challenge from donors who matched the gifts.
Donors provided the impetus for the winter fundraising challenge, with gifts of $100-$1,000. Nearly three dozen businesses and individuals contributed to WCAP to meet the match.
WCAP is a multi-service agency that provides Waldo County with Head Start early childhood education and nutrition, transportation, housing and fuel assistance and other important community programs since 1965. Tax-deductible contributions can be mailed to: WCAP, P.O. Box 130, Belfast, ME 04915.
