LITCHFIELD — A parent teacher symposium will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 at Carrie Ricker School.

Parents can choose from 12 sessions providing tips, ideas and systems to help them support their children’s learning.

These include bullying prevention; math games for children in third-fifth grades; web-based math programs; Jobs for Maine Graduates/Project Reach; customized learning; Infinite Campus Parent Portal; health-related topics such as nutrition and asthma; Steven Covey’s seven habits; behavioral support tips; school and school board communication; and ways to support the special education child.

There will be prizes and raffles and giveaways featuring fruit baskets and a Tablet. Pizza will be served. A supervised movie time will be provided for children.
