BINGHAM — The Bingham Union Library recently received a grant from the Brownstone Fund, an organization based in New York which promotes early literacy. They received 100 children’s picture books, board books and early readers.

The library also received many donations in memory of Bingham resident and educator Ruth Austin. Books for middle readers were purchased, including many nonfiction titles. To celebrate the recent additions to the children’s department, and honor the long-time supporter, the library will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 9.
