The AARP Foundation’s Tax Aide program will offer free federal and state income tax return preparation and electronic filing to all low and moderate-income taxpayers, including adults 60 and older.

In Kennebec County, the following sites will offer assistance, by appointment only, from Feb. 1 to April 15:

* Muskie Federal Building, 68 Sewall St., Augusta, Room 510, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Fridays; for an appointment, call 582-3053 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

* Spectrum Generations, Cohen Community Center, 22 Town Farm Road, Hallowell, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; call 626-7777.

* Dr. Shaw Memorial Library, 344 Pond Road, Mount Vernon, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 23, March 9 and March 23; call 293-2565.

* Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union, 94 Highland Ave., Winthrop, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays; call 377-2124.

* Spectrum Generations, Muskie Community Center, 38 Gold St., Waterville, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; call 873-4745.

* Spectrum Generations, Somerset Community Center, 30 Leavitt St., Skowhegan, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays; call 474-8552.

* Crossroads Bible Church, 705 White Schoolhouse Road, Madison, on Feb. 9 and 23, March 9 and 23 and April 6; call 474-8552.
