ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Authorities say a Florida tow truck driver landed in jail after his cellphone pocket-dialed 911 and dispatchers listened in on a conversation about the sale of drugs.

Deputies say 19-year-old Matthew Dollarhide was surprised when a Volusia County Sheriff’s deputy pulled him over late Tuesday and asked him about his conversation with two passengers.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports 911 dispatchers pinpointed the cellphone’s location and sent deputies to investigate. From the conversation, dispatchers learned they were driving in a tow truck.

Deputies said they found a crack pipe on Dollarhide. The Orange City man was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He told police the pipe belonged to his father.
