WINSLOW — Trevor Lovely hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer from just inside halfcourt to give Winslow a dramatic 73-70 victory over Leavitt in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B boys basketball action Thursday night.

Lovely hit four 3-pointers and finished with 17 points and eight assists. Mike Petrovic scored 15 points, and Connor Wildes and Justin Martin each chipped in with 10. Nason Lanphier just missed out on a double-double, with eight points and eight assists. Winslow (13-3) led 42-32 at the half before Leavitt rallied.

The two teams combined to hit 16 3-pointers, including seven by Leavitt’s Andre Middleton, who scored a game-high 26 points. Isaiah Calder added 13 points for the Hornets (5-11).

Mt. View 44, MCI 35: Steven Davis scored 18 points to lead the Mustangs to the KVAC Class B win in Pittsfield. Kamerin Alspaugh led Maine Central Institute with eight points. Mt. View is 3-12, MCI is 6-10.

Oak Hill 49, Carrabec 33: The Raiders outscored the Cobras 22-12 in the third quarter en route to the MVC win in Wales. Parker Aselin scored seven of his team-high 13 points in the third while Derek Gamage grabbed nine rebounds. Oak Hill is 6-10, Carrabec is 0-16.

Rangeley 52, Buckfield 18: The Lakers scored 34 points in the first half and coasted to the win in Rangeley.

Abby Abbott (13 points) and Taylor Esty (11) were the top scorers for Rangeley (14-1). Blayke Morin added nine points and 11 rebounds, and Emina Gunic pulled down 14 rebounds.

Naudia Wesley had seven points for Buckfield (3-13).

Nokomis 47, Waterville 26: Anna MacKenzie scored nine points to lead the Warriors to a KVAC B win over the Purple Panthers in Waterville.

Kelsie Richards added eight points for Nokomis (13-2), while Lindsay Whitney had seven points.

Colleen O’Donnell scored a game-high 15 points for Waterville (2-13).

Leavitt 50, Winslow 32: The Hornets outscored the Black Raiders 14-0 in the second quarter to build a 22-point halftime lead on the way to the win in Turner Center.

Mariah Treadwell scored 13 points, while Bri DeGone and Jenna Cote each had 10 for Leavitt (13-2).

Devin Fitzgibbons had eight points and Erica Bertolaccini added seven for Winslow (6-10).
