HALLOWELL — The Kennebec Valley Art Association invites artist submissions to Art2013, the 18th annual juried show at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell. Art2013 is open to all Maine artists and also to artists with a strong connection to Maine. This years jurors are Bob Keyes and Dan Kany, both are arts writers at the Portland Press Herald.

According to a press release, there will be more than $1,500 in cash prizes and gift certificates from area business sponsors will be awarded at an awards ceremony at the exhibition’s opening is set for 6 p.m. Friday, May 10. The exhibition will be on view May 10 through June 1 and is free and open to the public.

Original fine art in any media may be submitted, including hand pulled prints, photography, sculpture and fine crafts, including ceramics, glass and fiber art. Jewelry and clothing are not eligible. Each artist may submit up to three works of art. Entry fees are $25 for members of the Kennebec Valley Art Association or $30 for nonmembers; not refundable.
