PALMYRA — The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of the 2013 awards:
* Business of the Year Award: Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union for dedication to growth and support for economic development in area communities.
* Joyce Packard Community Spirit Award: Alvah Wyman for outstanding commitment to the betterment of the area and the power and spirit of volunteering.
The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony is set for 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Moosehead Trail Motor Lodge in Dexter. Evening entertainment will be provided by the University of Maine Steiners. A cash bar will be open. Tickets cost $30 per person. Organizers encourage reservations be made by Tuesday.
