A pizza delivery driver was robbed of cash and pizza at knife and gunpoint outside the Olde English Village apartments at 499 Westbrook St. in South Portland Saturday.

South Portland police said the driver met with a customer in front of the building just before 10 p.m. when two men approached from a corner of the building and threatened the driver.

Police said a man with a knife and a man with a handgun demanded the driver hand over his money. The two fled on foot toward Westbrook Street.

The customer also fled on foot in the same direction and is believed to be involved in the robbery, police said.

The driver was not hurt. Police said they are withholding the name of the driver and the pizza business for investigative reasons.

The suspects are described as three black men, all in their early 20s, one 5-foot-7 with a red bandana covering his face and a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, another 5-6, thin with a red and gray bandana covering his face and a black hooded sweatshirt and pants, and a third, closer to 20 years old, 5-5 and 120 pounds with very crooked front teeth.

Anyone who saw the three men are asked to call Detective Steven Connors at 799-5511, extension 7217.
