WORCESTER, Mass. — Two local Maine students were named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

They are Juliana Fekete of Belgrade, a junior majoring in biomedical engineering, and Harry Lanphear of Manchester, a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering.

Wing graduates from UMaine

ORONO — Christina M. Wing of Augusta has graduated cum laude from the University of Maine Orono with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in disability studies.

Wing was initiated into Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in education. She was awarded the Presidential Scholar and Presidential Achievement Award.

Wing is a 2008 graduate of Cony High School. She is the daughter of Robert Wing of Augusta.

Albert named to UMaine dean’s list

ORONO — Kristen Alberts was named to the fall 2012 semester dean’s list at the University of Maine.

Alberts is a sophomore majoring in music education. She graduated from Erskine Academy and is the daughter of Tim and Lisa Alberts of China.

Giguere named to dean’s list

CASTINE — Gabe Giguere of Manchester has been named to the fall 2012 semester dean’s list at Maine Maritime Academy.

Giguere, a 2012 graduate of Maranacook Community High School, is majoring in marine engineering technology. He is actively involved in the Regiment of Midshipmen, and also plays on the soccer and lacrosse teams.

Local students named to dean’s list

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Two local students have been named to the fall 2012 semester dean’s list at Merrimack College.

They are Margaret Jacques of Chelsea, a senior in the School of Science and Engineering, and Nicholas Flaherty of Litchfield, a junior in the School of Science and Engineering.

Frederickson named to fall term dean’s list

BIDDEFORD — Samantha Jo Frederickson has been named to the fall 2012 semester dean’s list at University of New England. Frederickson is a pre-med major. She is the daughter of Diane and Joseph Frederickson of Gardiner.

Harrington named to fall term dean’s list

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Alex Harrington of Manchester, Maine, has been named to the fall 2012 term dean’s list at Springfield College.

Harrington is studying computer graphics.
