AUGUSTA — Literacy Volunteers of Greater Augusta will host its sixth annual Spring Team Scrabble Tournament from 1 to 4 p.m. March 17 at the Senator Inn.
Ribbons are awarded to the winning competitive and social teams. There will also be door prize drawings for gift cards to local restaurants and two grand prizes — a Keurig coffee maker and Kindle Fire — will be given to the players who bring in the most pledges. A quilt will be raffled at the tournament.
Competitive or social teams and individuals are welcome. Funds are raised through pledges and donations and help provide literacy services to adults in the Augusta area who want to improve their reading and writing skills.
