Dr. William Begg, who treated some of the Newtown casualties, described wounds from assault weapons.

“They had such horrific injuries to their little bodies,” said Begg. He said an assault weapons bullet “opens up” and does not travel in a straight line, adding, “That’s not a survivable injury.”

The good doctor needs to go back to medical school and physics classes to learn that his assessment of the trajectory of bullets from an assault weapon was incorrect. Any damage to tissue from a wound would be from the bullet design and has nothing to do with an assault weapon.
