WALES — Gwenyth Fraser, a senior at Oak Hill High School, has been selected to receive the 2013 Principal’s Award.

Fraser has been an active member of drama, jazz band and Voices of Color (the school’s Select Choir), Academic Decathlon and the Oak Hill Legislative Assembly. She is a member of the National Honor Society, has served as a member of the Civil Rights Team, and is the editor of the school newspaper, Raider Chatter. She was also the school’s representative at Dirigo Girls State.

Fraser will attend an honors luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 6, where she will receive a plaque and a $1,000 scholarship. The award is sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association and is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement.

Fraser is the daughter of Sheri and Paul Fraser of Litchfield.
