DETROIT — A brief warrant awaits voters in Detroit at the annual Town Meeting on Saturday.
The municipal budget is about the same as last year’s, according to Town Clerk Kathy Walston, who did not have exact figures available.
The 35 articles in the warrant are strictly routine business, she said, with no new proposals expected to prompt debate. She did not anticipate that anything on the warrant would change the current property tax rate of $13.45 per $1,000 of valuation.
The meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the town hall.
There are no contested races in the local election, scheduled for 1-7 p.m. Friday, also at the town hall.
Detroit has 635 registered voters. Fifteen attended the Town Meeting in 2012.
