Cares, Inc., has announced the availability of assistive technology loan program, which loans assistive technology equipment for 30 days.
Assistive technology — devices that make life easier at work, school and home — includes Text-to-Speech applications, hearing amplifiers and more. The program gives people the opportunity to try different technology free of charge for 30 days.
The program, funded through a grant by the Department of Education’s Maine CITE Program, is available to residents of Androscoggin, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox and Lincoln counties.
