VASSALBORO — The Vassalboro Business Association is spearheading an effort to erect American flags on power poles that line the Main Streets of both north and east Vassalboro from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Flags and brackets will cost approximately $50 per pole. The Vassalboro Fire Department will hang the brackets and flags.
The association hopes to fund at least 25 flags. Individuals and businesses are welcome to make a donation.
For more information or to sponsor a flag, call Linda Titus at 873-2108 or visit www.vassalborobusinessassn.org.
