WATERVILLE — The Colby College Museum of Art’s new wing will celebrate its grand opening with a public celebration July 14, the college announced Thursday.
The new Alfond-Lunder Family Pavilion and the Lunder Wing will feature more than 280 works of art donated by longtime Colby benefactors Peter Lunder, a 1956 graduate, and his wife, Paula.
The display is part of a larger collection of more than 500 works of art that the Lunders first announced they would give to the college in 2007.
