HALLOWELL — The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association will offer its annual workshop, “Grow Your Own Organic Garden,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at The Vaughan Homestead, 2 Litchfield Road.

Participants will learn the basics of soil science, how to make and use compost, how to rotate crops, basic weed, insect and disease identification and management and more. Students will have an opportunity to work on their garden plans in class.

Tracy Weber, the Homestead’s program director, will instruct the workshop.
