BELGRADE — Members of the Maine chapter of Sisters in Crime New England will read from their new works or works in progress from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Belgrade Public Library as part of the Sisters in Crime Murder by the Minute weekend.

The event features both published and unpublished mystery writers and the genres include everything from cozy mysteries to true crime thrillers.

The event also coincides with Belgrade Public Library’s Library Day. Other events include the library’s annual book sale at next-door Belgrade Central School, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and an appearance by children’s author Linda Snow McLoon at 10 a.m. McLoon will visit the library to talk about growing up in Belgrade, horseback riding and her new books, “Crown Prince” and “Crown Prince Challenged,” part of the Brookmeade Young Riders series.

Events will take place at the library’s new location at 124 Depot Road.
