CLINTON — Easter Sunday events at Brown Memorial United Methodist Church will begin at 6:15 a.m. with a sunrise service at the gazebo in the Old Mill Site Park. The Easter Cantata “The Night Before Easter, a Resurrection Musical,” performed by the church choir, is set for 7:15 a.m. A community breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. by the Methodist Men in the fellowship hall. Cash donations will be accepted.
The children can hunt for Easter Eggs at 8:30 a.m. The Easter message will be delivered at 9 a.m. by the Rev. Judith Gould in the church sanctuary.
Knights Templar
commandery No. 19
EAST WILTON — Pilgrim Commandery No. 19 Knights Templar will hold its annual Easter service and breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Sunday the Farmington/Wilton Harnden Masonic Lodge on Bryant Road.
All Sir Knights and Masons are invited to attend along with their sons and grandsons. Donations will be accepted for the breakfast.
Western Mountains
Baptist Church
NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church is celebrating Easter morning with a sunrise service and breakfast.
At 6:15 a.m., everyone is welcome to join an Easter celebration by meeting outside of the church at the cross to hear an Easter message from Tom DuBois, the pastor of Western Mountains Baptist Church.
Immediately following the service, breakfast with hot coffee will be served inside the church. Traditionally, the men of the church cook the breakfast and do the clean up.
Kennebec Valley Baptist
WATERVILLE — Special Easter services, featuring music by The Hyssongs and a message by Evangelist Dr. Wendell Calderm, will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday and continue 7 p.m. Monday-Wednesday at Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, Marston Road. Nursery facilities are available and all services will be signed for the hearing impaired.
St. Luke’s Church
WILTON — The Episcopal Church Women will sponsor a traditional Easter bread sale from 9 a.m. to noon today in St. Luke’s Church undercroft, 59 High St., corner of School and High streets. Pre-orders can be made by calling the church office at 645-2639.
Beginning in a darkened church, the Great Vigil of Easter celebrates Christ’s resurrection through light, scripture, Easter hymns, renewal of baptismal vows and Holy Communion set for 8 tonight.
Farmington Ecumenical Easter sunrise service will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Voter Hill, Farmington. St. Luke’s participates in this annual Farmington tradition on Voter Hill.
An Easter Festival Eucharist will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. An Easter egg hunt for the children and the Easter bake sale will immediately follow worship Easter Sunday.
