RUMFORD — Julie Krouse had five goals, while Brooke Davis had three goals and three assists in the Gardiner girls lacrosse team’s 18-3 win over Mountain Valley on Tuesday.

Ally Day added two goals and four assiss, while Rikki Bryant added two goals for Gardiner (2-0). Nickyia Lovely, Emma Hickey, Victoria Littlefield, Keyanna Farkan, Maddie Beaulieu and Paige Hinkley also scored for the Tigers.

Maddy Cutler made 11 saves to earn the win.

Nicole Burgess had three goals for Mountain Valley (0-1). Jordan True had 17 saves.

Lewiston 9, Cony 8: Natalie Russo scored three goals, including one with 30 seconds left, to lift the Blue Devils to the Eastern A victory.

Kelsey Dumond also scored three goals while Lori-Ann Murphy finished with a pair of goals and as many assists for Lewiston (2-0).

Bayleigh Logan led Cony (1-1) with three goals.

Emily Quirion scored two goals for the Rams, who rallied back from a 7-2 deficit to make things interesting late.

Messalonskee 10, Mt. Ararat 7: Kristen Kern scored four goals and Kristy Bernatchez added three to lead the Eagles to the Class A win in Topsham in their season opener. Sydney Gagne contributed two goals and two assists for the winenrs while teammate Mikayla Turner added a goal. Rebecca Shuman added three goals for Mt. Ararat.

Izzy Skinner made seven saves in goal for Messalonskee while Bailey Sullivan had nine for Mt. Ararat (1-1).
