SOUTH PORTLAND — Police say a man who robbed the TD Bank branch at 9 Market St. at 5:30 p.m. on Monday was in custody 5½ hours later.

Police arrested Joseph Morrill, 23, of South Portland at 10:50 p.m. and charged him with robbery. He is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on $150,000 bail.

Detective Sgt. Steve Webster said the quick arrest was the result of collaboration between the patrol and investigative divisions of the department with assistance from the FBI.
