WATERVILLE — Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will present a Community Celebration and Exploration of Marriage Equality in Maine from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, in REM Forum at The Center, 93 Main St.

The event is free; a luncheon buffet will be available for $10 per person.

The celebration will focus on the marriage law including gay and lesbian couples. The event will feature local clergy, florists, photographers, caterers, printers, clothiers and reception facilities that serve same-sex couples. Attendees can also attend presentations by lawyers, accountants, psychologists and clergy who will explore the legal, spiritual, psychological and financial issues involved with the law.

Presenters include attorney Bill Lee of O’Donnell, Lee, McCowan and Philips LLC, in Waterville; Jim Nicholson, C.P.A. of Nicholson, Michaud and Company, of Waterville and Belfast; psychologist Peter Burgher; Rev. Margaret Anzalone, of the Universalist Unitarian Church; and Rev. John Balicki, of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

Reservations are required for the luncheon. The food served will celebrate the community’s diversity and heritage.
