HARTLAND — The 13th annual Slim Clark concert will begin at 7 p.m. Saturuday at the Irving Tanning Community Center, Elm Street.

The event funds a scholarship at Nokomis Regional High School in Newport to a student going on to college to pursue a career in the arts.

Clark was not only known as an internationally recognized musician, he was also a well-known wildlife artist.

In this, the 13th year since his passing, Jasmine Records of the U.K., have released a new double CD collection of his old 78 records remastered. These will be available at the show.

Appearing this year is Jewel Clark, Slim’s daughter, doing some old country and lots of yodeling, and the Misty Mountaineers.

There will be refreshments by the school’s P.T.F. group and a 50/50 raffle. Doors open at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by Muffler King of Newport and Q106.5 Radio.
