STRATTON — The Dead River Area Historical Society will sponsor a walk-athon at 10 a.m. Saturday. Walkers will line up at the Stratton Elementary School parking lot continue along School Street, turning around at the site of the Old Dump two miles away, and return to the school parking lot. This will be a fun and fit activity for all ages. Refreshments and snacks will be provided at each mile marker.

This year’s goal is to replace rotting sills on the west and south side of the museum.

Pledge sheets can be picked up at Pine’s Market, Northland Cash, Fotter’s Market, and Flagstaff Fuel. Sheets need to be turned in at the Walk-athon Saturday.

For the safety of smaller participants, organizers ask there be no running or jogging; only walking.
