FARMINGTON — Nate Kendall hit a walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Mt. Blue baseball team to a 3-2 win over Skowhegan in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Monday.

Cam Abbott doubled with two outs and came home on the Kendall’s single to win it.

Abbott was 3 for 4 with a pair of a double, while Kendall and Jordan Whitney each had two hits for Mt. Blue (2-6).

Chase Nelson had two hits for Skowhegan (5-3).

Zach Peaco and Drew Townsend each had a double and scored a run to lead Oceanside to the KVAC B win.

Nathan Wren had two singles for the Mustangs while Mike Hustus, Ricky Moulton, David Clark and Erik Larrabee each had a single.


Hampden 9, Messalonskee 2: Matt Martin pitched a complete game as the Broncoas beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in Oakland.

Cooper Antone had two doubles and two singles for Hampden, which improves to 7-1. Logan Steward also doubled for the Broncos.

Messalonskee falls to 5-3.

Leavitt 3, MCI 2: Levi Morin went 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Hornets to the Class B victory in Turner. Morin also pitched a complete game for the Hornets (4-4).

Greg Vigue, Parker Morrison and Charlie Moriarty each went 2 for 3 to lead the Huskies (1-7).

Maranacook 5, Nokomis 1: Nick Lacasse drove in a pair of runs and Zach Elwell pitched a complete game to lead Maranacook.


Elwell struck out four, walked one and allowed just five hits for the Black Bears (4-4).

Kevin Johnson had a pair of singles

Spencer Hartsgrove hit a leadoff home run to lead Nokomis (2-6).

Madison 2, Mt. Abram : Garrett Emery doubled in Rhett McKenney in the fifth inning for the eventual game-winning run as the Bulldogs prevailed in Madison.

Chase Malloy picked up the win in relief of Cody Soucier. Malloy struck out three and gave up one run in three innings of work.

McKenney stole two bases for the Bulldogs (4-4) as well.


Mt. Abram dropped to 2-5.

Lawrence 8, Brewer 3: Kyle McLain had two doubles and drove in four runs to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Cole Robinson had a two-run single and Adam Littlefield drove in a run for Lawrence (1-7). Robinson also struck out three in three innings of relief. Cody Martin pitched four innings for the win, striking out six.

Matt Morrow had two hits for Brewer (3-5).

Cony 12, Erskine 2, 5 innings: Zack Lachance, Thomas Foster and Chandler Shostak each had a double and a single as the Rams beat the Eagles in a game shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule, in Augusta.

Ben Lucas added two singles for Cony, which improves to 6-2.


Josh Bailey had a double and a triple for Ersekine (2-6).

Dirigo 5, Carrabec 2: Brett Whittemore had two doubles as the Cougars beat the Cobras in an MVC game in Dixfield.

Tyler Frost added a double and a single for Dirigo (5-2).

Will Crawford had two singles for Carrabec (3-4).
