TURNER CENTER — Courtney Fowler took a perfect game into the seventh inning and finished with a one-hit shutout as Maine Central Institute defeated Leavitt 6-0 in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B softball action Monday afternoon.

Fowler, who struck out seven, lost her perfect game when Leavitt’s Emily Perkins singled leading off the bottom of the seventh inning. Victoria Drake and Katelyn Sousa each had two hits for the Huskies (5-3).

Leavitt is 1-7.

Skowhegan 8, Mt. Blue 2: Bonnie Jane Aiken had a double and a single both in a seven-run second inning to lead the Indians to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Emma Fitzgerald added two singles for Skowhegan (6-2) while Taylor Johnson and Shelby Obert each doubled.

Kristen Brown and Addie Brinkam had a single apiece.

Nokomis 7, Maranacook 1: Siera Fortin went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double and scored three runs to lead the Warriors in Readfield.

Natasha Howard had a single, triple and scored two runs for Nokomis (5-3).

Maranacook dropped to 2-6.

Brewer 4, Lawrence 0: Sam Pellegrino had two singles and an RBI and Morgan Small had two singles and scored two runs to lead the Witches to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Chelsea King struck out nine and didn’t issue a walk to earn the win for Brewer (8-0).

Abby King had two hits for Lawrence (2-6).

Dirigo 11, Carrabec 4: Emma Leuders and Ambyr Wilson double had a double and a single as the Cougars beat the Cobras in an MVC game in Dixfield.

Tasha Deroche added two singles for Dirigo (6-1).

Ashley Knight had a double for Carrabec (2-5).

Oceanside 24, Mt. View 6, 5 innings: Zoe Proctor had four hits and Kalyn Grover had a pair of triples to lead Oceanside (8-0) to the win in Thorndike. Paige Tyler struck out nine to earn the victory.

Mt. View dropped to 0-8.

Messalonskee 10, Hampden 3: Kylee Knight had a bases-loaded double in a six-run fourth inning to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Natalie Hunt added a double and a single for Messalonskee (7-1) while Delaney Collier hit two singles. Kassi Michaud earned the win, coming on in relief in the third inning. Michaud struck out seven batters in three innings.

Hampden falls to 2-6.

Cony 12, Erskine 0, 6 innings: Winning pitcher Sonja Morse hit a pair of home runs and drove in three runs to lead the Rams to the KVAC A win in Augusta.

Arika Brochu had three hits and two RBIs for Cony (8-0). Alyssah Dennett added a pair of singles, while Morse struck out nine and allowed just two hits to improve to 5-0.

Alyssa Gartley and Phoebe Cram had the lone hits for Erskine (3-5).

Winslow 10, Waterville 2: Hillary Libby had a double and drove in three runs, while Jen Poulin had drove in two runs and scored three times in the Raiders win over the Panthers in a KVAC B game in Winslow.

Megan Richards pitched a complete game, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits, while striking out six and walking one for Winslow (6-2).

Gabby Martin had a single, a double and an RBI, while Morgan Pellerin had two singles and an RBI for Waterville (1-7).

Girls lacrosse

Messalonskee 16, Lewiston 6: Sydney Gagne scored six goals to lead the visiting Eagles to the KVAC A win. Kristen Kern added four goals for Messalonskee (6-0).

Mikayla Turner scored three goals while Allyson Fisching and Natalie St. Pierre each had one. Lily Delisle had three assists. Izzy Skinner made five saves.

Kelsey Dumond had three goals for Lewiston (3-2) while Mariah Currier scored two. Sam Cote stopped 12 shots.
