LEWISTON — Alyssa Gartley pitched a complete game shutout, allowing three hits, while striking out six and walking two as the Erskine Academy softball team beat Lewiston 9-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Wednesday.

Emma Robertson had a two-run home run for the Eagles (4-5). Kaitlyn Sutter had two singles and two RBIs and Alison Gauvin added a triple and a single for the Eagles.

Maranacook 10, Waterville 8, 8 innings: Jessie Smith drove in three runs and the Black Bears scored two runs in the top of the eighth to pull out the Class B victory.

Lindsay Jackson and Ashley Michaud also drove in runs for Maranacook (3-5).

Lindsey St. Clair and Kaitlyn Spaulding each drove in a pair of runs to pace the Panthers (1-8). 

Messalonskee 4, Lawrence 3: Nikki Collier had a two-run double and Delaney Collier drove in a run to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Messalonskee (8-1) scored three in the third and one in the op of the seventh to take a 4-0 lead. However, Lawrence scored three in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Lawrence dropped to 3-6.
