LEWISTON — Alyssa Gartley pitched a complete game shutout, allowing three hits, while striking out six and walking two as the Erskine Academy softball team beat Lewiston 9-0 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game.

Emma Robertson had a two-run home run for the Eagles (4-5). Kaitlyn Sutter had two singles and two RBIs and Alison Gauvin added a triple and a single for the Eagles.

Mikaela Brown had a double for the Blue Devils (1-8).

Messalonskee 4, Lawrence 3: Nikki COllier had a two-run double and Delaney Collier drove in a run to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Messalonskee (8-1) scored three in the third and one in the op of the seventh to take a 4-0 lead. However, Lawrence plated three in the bottom of the seventh inning, thanks to three Messalonskee errors, to make things interesting.

Lawrence dropped to 3-6.

Dirigo 4, Mt. Abram 2: Taylor Henderson had two hits in the Roadrunners loss to the Cougars in Salem.

Jill Howard added an RBI for Mt. Abram (3-5).

Cami Denney had eight strikeouts and allowed one earned run for Dirigo (7-1). Natasha DeRoche had three hits and two RBIs.

Nokomis 8, MCI 2:  Courtney Carleson hit two doubles and a single to lead the Warriors to the win Newport.

Sierra Fortin added two singles for Nokomis (6-3), which broke the game open with five runs in the fourth inning.

Katelyn Sousa doubled for MCI (5-4), and Katie George added a single for the Huskies.

Mountain Valley 17, Carrabec 2, 5 innings: Adelle Oswald had three hits and three RBIs and winning pitcher Lindsay Marston had a two-run double to lead the Falcons in North Anson.

Marston pitched all five innings and improved to 4-3.

Libby Chestnut had two hits to lead the Cobras (2-6).

Maranacook 10, Waterville 8: Jessie Smith drove in three runs and the Black Bears scored two runs in the top of the eighth to pull out the Class B victory. Lindsay Jackson and Ashley Michaud also drove in runs for Maranacook (3-5).

Lindsey St. Clair and Kaitlyn Spaulding each drove in a pair of runs to pace the Panthers (1-8). 

Madison 5, Spruce Mountain 1: Emily McKenney pitched a complete game and had three singles to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win at Spruce Mountain.

McKenney drove in a pair of runs. Kayla Booker had two singles and an RBI for Madison (8-0) as well.
Hayley Doyon had an RBI single for Spruce Mountain (5-3).

Skowhegan 11, Bangor 4: Kaitlyn Therriault had three singles and four RBIs to lead the Indians to a KVAC A win over the Rams in Skowhegan.

Therriault started the game in the circle and was replaced in the fourth inning by Taylor Johnson, who retired the next 11 consecutive batters.

Mikayla Toth added two singles for the Indians (7-2).

Sydni Cosgrove smacked a double for Bangor (5-4).

Messalonskee 13, Oxford Hills 10: Sydney Gagne scored seven goals and Kristen Kern added three to lead the Eagles in South Paris.

Nathalie St. Pierre scored two goals and Alex McCown added another for Messalonskee (7-0).
Izzy Skinner had 13 saves to earn the victory.

Amanda Hanning and Kristen Gamache each scored three goals to lead Oxford Hills (0-6). Joanna Murch added a pair for Oxford Hills.

Samantha Bickford had 11 saves for the Vikings.
