NEWCASTLE — Mt. View scored six runs in the top of the 10th inning on its way to a 13-7 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win over Lincoln Academy on Wednesday.
Both teams scored once in the eighth inning and twice in the ninth inning before Mt. View broke it up to earn the win.
Lincoln scored a lone run in the bottom of the seventh to tie it.
Mikey Hustus was 2 for 3 with two walks and scored three times, while Ricky Moulton was 4 for 5 with a run, two walks and three RBIs for Mt. View. Ashton Reynolds added three hits and an RBI, while Kenny McGray was 2 for 6 with a run scored.
College baseball
U.S. Coast Guard Academy 3, Husson 1: The Bears took a 2-0 lead in the third inning and held on to beat the Eagles in the first round of the ECAC tournament in New London, Conn.
The Eagles fall to 26-18 and will wait to see if their season continues.
Messalonskee graduate Dylan Foster had a sacrifice fly to drive in Husson’s only run.
Mike Massaro, Mark Behne and Nolan Gallagher each had an RBI for Coast Guard.
