NEWPORT — Winslow scored six runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a six-run lead, but Nokomis rallied back with three in the bottom of the fourth and five in the bottom of the fifth to hand the Black Raiders their first loss of the season, winning 12-11 on Monday afternoon.

Spencer Hartsgrove had two double, a triple and drove in three runs for Nokomis (4-7). Jeff Ludden and Aaron Smedberg added two singles and an RBI, while Chandler Foss also had two singles. Zach Ramsdell had two RBIs, while Justin Kasprzak, Noah Kersner and Jake Winslow each had one.

Gabe Smith had two doubles, Logan Hewes had a doubles, two singles and three RBIs for Winslow (10-1). Zac Guptill had a single and a double, while Dylan Hapworth had two signles for the Black Raiders.

Waterville 10, MCI 0: Aidan Fitzgerald went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Panthers to the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference B win in Pittsfield.

Winning pitcher Kaleb Kane had a two-run single in the fifth inning to lead the Panthers (8-3). Kane pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits.

Greg Vigue had a double for MCI (1-10).

Erskine 4, Mt. Ararat 3: The Eagles rallied for two runs in with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn a KVAC A win in South China.

John Suga singled and came around to score the game-tying run on a single by Josh Bailey and an overthrow. Shawn Soucie then followed with a single up the middle to drive in Bailey with the winning run for Erskine (4-7).

Soucie pitched five innings in relief of Nick Gayer to earn the victory.

Mt. Ararat dropped to 3-8.

Medomak Valley 1, Mt. View 0: Ollie Brown hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning and Brandon Soper pitched a one-hitter as the Panthers beat the Mustangs in a KVAC B game in Thorndike.

Soper struck out six and walked one to win a pitchers’ duel with Mt. View’s Kenny McGray, who pitched seven innings, allowed three hits, struck out four and didn’t walk a batter.

Mikey Hustus had the lone hit for Mt. View when he singled in the sixth inning.

Buckfield 7-15, Forest Hills 3-6: Jeff Pepin had five hits in the doubleheaders as the Bucks earned a sweep of the Tigers in Jackman.

Pepin had two hits in the first game and added three more in the second game, which ended in the sixth inning due to the 10-run rule, for Buckfield (4-1).

Evan Worster hit a three-run home run in the first game and added three hits in the second game for Forest Hills (6-2). Nathan Jalbert had two singles in the first game and Tanner Daigle had two in the second game.

Lawrence 7, Mt. Blue 5: Kyle McLain and Derrick Raven each had two-run singles to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Cody Martin allowed three runs in five innigs to earn the victory for Lawrence (2-9).

Cam Abbott had a home run and Matt Chemponey had two singles to lead Mt. Blue (2-9).
