AUGUSTA — The Augusta Farmers Market has announced its opening dates for this season.

The Saturday market will begin on May 25. The Wednesday market will begin on June 12.

Vendors include three vegetable farmers, a baker, a seedling farmer, flower vendor and a seafood vendor. There will be spinach, beet greens, swiss chard, free range eggs, Chinese cabbages, bok choy, mixed lettuces with mustard, mustard greens, baked goods, breads, cookies, pies and whoopie pies and locally caught fish and lobsters.

The market takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and Wednesdays through October at the Sears end of the Turnpike Mall on Whitten Road.

Vendors are welcome — those selling pies, sweet breads, rolls, sticky buns and meat, fruit, berries and vegetables are especially encouraged to participate. For more information or an application, call 549-5112 or an application, visit www.augustafarmersmarket.com.
