ROCKPORT — The Watervile Senior High School girls tennis team defeated Camden Hills 5-0 on Thursday at the Midcoast Recreation Center to claim its third straight Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B championship.

Colleen O’Donnell defeated Abby Blakeley 8-0 at first singles while Tiffany Suchanek topped Katie Pratt 8-1 at second singles. Federica Miele won a tiebreaker (7-2) to nip Macy Buck 8-7 at third singles. The first doubles team of Lauren Hallenbeck and Jayme  Saulter won 8-3 while the second doubles team of Emma Cristan and Emily Dufour won 8-0.

Waterville is 13-0 while Camden Hills is 11-2.

KVAC B boys tennis

Lincoln Academy 4, Waterville 1: Adrian Rivas picked up the lone win for Waterville in the KVAC B championship match.

Rivas beat Eli Ganem 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 doubles for Waterville.

At No. 2 doubles, Waterville’s Galen Litchenfield and Langdon Holly took the first set vs. Josh Hoepner and Harrison Ransley to a tie breaker, losing 10-8, and won the second set 1-6, before losing the third 6-2.

Lincoln’s Jordan Friedland won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Brandon Blake won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2.

Softball

Winslow 7, Maranacook 2: Megan Richards pitched 6 2/3 perfect innings before allowing a walk, two singles and two runs in the seventh inning as the Black Raiders beat the Black Bears in a KVAC B game in Winslow.

Richards struck out four to earn her 10th win of the season for Winslow (10-4). Jessica Pare and Brooke Haskell both doubled for Winslow, while Jen Poulin had a triple and two RBIs.

Ashley Belanger and Kaitlyn Chick each singled for Maranacook (6-8).

Rangeley 20, Valley 8: Tori Letarte and Taylor Esty each drove in four runs to lead the Lakers to the Western D victory in Rangeley.

Esty had a pair of doubles while Letarte had a double.

Shelby Elmes also drove in two runs for Rangeley (6-5).

Sydney VIncent drove in three runs to lead Valley (0-10).

Baseball

Lawrence 5, Skowhegan 3: JJ Bushaw had two singles and three RBIs to lead the Bulldogs to a KVAC A win over the Indians in Fairfield.

Kyle McLain and Alex Chesley each collected two singles and an RBI for Lawrence (4-10). Jessie Hines earned the win on the mound and Cole Robinson came on in the seventh to earn the save.

Kaleb Brown had two hits for Skowhegan (7-8), including a double.

Valley 17-20, Portland Christian 1-2: Justin Miller had three singles, a triple and five RBIs as the Cavaliers swept a doubleheader in Bingham.

Josh West added a triple and a single and Carrington Miller had a double and two singles in the first game for Valley (9-2). Seth Malloy had a double, a single and three RBIs in the second game.

Portland Christian falls to 0-10.

Girls lacrosse

Messalonskee 15, Brunswick 8: Kristen Kern and Sydney Gagne each scored four goals to lead the Eagles to a KVAC A win over the Dragons at Thomas College in Waterville.

Kristy Bernatchez and Allison Fischang added three goals each for Messalonskee (11-0), while goalie Izzy Skinner made seven saves.

Eliza Brooks scored four goals for Brunswick (3-8).
