READFIELD — The Readfield Historical Society and Museum, 759 Main St., in Readfield Depot, will open for the season on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Historian Evelyn Potter and genealogist Beverly Newton will be on hand both days to greet people and show what the museum offers to researchers and visitors.

On Sunday, Dale Potter Clark will introduce her new Search and Research Program. This program focuses on the men from Readfield who went to the Civil War and were ultimately buried in Readfield. Free activity packets will be available.

Regular hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday and Saturday. For more information, call President Florence Drake at 685-4662 or email readfieldhistorical@gmail.com.
