CONCORD, N.H. – Northern New England started the week with snow in some places, but could end it with temperatures in the 90s.

Temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-80s and low-90s on Thursday, with more hot weather on the way Friday and Saturday in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Concord, N.H., is forecast to reach 93 degrees by Friday and Manchester is forecast to reach 95.

The forecast calls for temperatures in the 80s in Maine and a high of 88 in Burlington, Vt., on Friday.

Forecasters say the jet stream is moving up and down, more than usual, causing the weather extremes.
