PORTLAND — Maine’s Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard is presenting the colors at the Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.

The agency is sending a six-member contingent of the Honor Guard, which will be dressed in uniform and carrying U.S., Maine and Boston Strong flags. They’ll appear during pre-game ceremonies Tuesday night, when the Red Sox take on the Texas Rangers.

The sheriff’s office said the event provides an opportunity to showcase its Honor Guard, represent the state of Maine and pay tribute to Boston following the recent bombings during the Boston Marathon.

The sheriff’s office Honor Guard was established in 1992.
