FARMINGDALE — A 20-year-old Farmingdale man was arrested on a charge of burglary Thursday following a report that a local hair salon had been robbed.
Jonathan Kelley-Emery allegedly pushed in an air conditioner at Karma Hair Salon in Farmingdale sometime Tuesday night and stole $50 to $80 in cash, Maine State Police Trooper Christopher Rogers said. Police checked fingerprints through a national database and later arrested Kelley-Emery, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for theft, he said.
After the heist, Kelley-Emery allegedly spent $11 in quarters at a local sandwich shop. He is being held without bail at the Kennebec County jail.
