STANDISH — Mackenzie Dufour of Augusta received the Physics Award at Saint Joseph’s College in Standish, given to a student for outstanding achievement in the study of physics.

Dufour is a junior pre-pharmacy major.

Estrada receives

Spartan Award

TAMPA, Fla. — Dorothy Estrada, of Farmingdale, Maine, recently received the Spartan Award at the annual Leadership Awards ceremony at The University of Tampa.

Estrada graduated from Hall-Dale High School in 2009 and is the daughter of Michael Estrada and Tammy Ralfe of Farmingdale, Maine. Estrada is an environmental science major.

Jacques named

presidential scholar

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Margaret Jacques of Chelsea was recently recognized as a presidential scholar at the annual Honors Convocation at Merrimack College.

Jacques is majoring in civil engineering.

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Benjamin P. Daggett of Litchfield, Maine, received the American Society of Animal Science Award during Honors Day ceremonies held recently at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Vermont.

Dyke inducted

PORTLAND — Corey Dyke of Monmouth, Maine, was recently initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Dyke is pursuing a degree in criminology at University of Southern Maine.
