EUGENE, Ore. — Messalonskee High School graduate Jesse Labreck is 15th after the first day of competition in the heptathlon at the NCAA women’s outdoor track and field championships.

Labreck, a University of Maine athlete, finished Thursday with 3,322 points at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. She finished 14th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.83 seconds, the finished fourth in the high jump with aleap of 5-feet, 8.75-inches. She finished 22nd in the shot put (33-5.75) and 20th in the 200 (25.29).

The competition ends today beginning at 3:30 p.m. with the long jump, before ending with the 800 at 7:50 p.m.
