PORTLAND — Crews will continue pavement upgrades Sunday evening at the exit 42 (Scarborough) interchange on the Maine Turnpike, weather permitting. The temporary closures are scheduled at night to minimize impact to traffic. All times are approximate.
Ramp closures will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. at the following exit 42 ramps :
• The northbound on-ramp for traffic entering the turnpike
• The southbound on-ramp for traffic entering the turnpike
• The southbound off-ramp for traffic leaving the turnpike
Turnpike travelers can expect additional ramp closures later in the week at Exit 42 (Scarborough) and Exit 45 (Maine Mall Road).
Motorists can check MaineTurnpike.com, or call 800-675-PIKE (7453), for updated information. Updated schedules will also be available by following the MTA on Facebook or Twitter. Portable electronic message boards are in place near the work areas to alert drivers to ramp closures.
