ST. ALBANS — The following Bicentennial Celebration events are set for the weekend.
Friday
* Postal Stamp Cancellation, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:30-4:30 p.m., Post Office.
* Grange supper, bean-hole beans by Richard Jones, 4:30 – 6 p.m. Cost is $6 per person.
* Concert by Wilf Clark & Misty Mountaineers and Jewel Clark, 6:30 p.m., Town Hall. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple.
Saturday
* Postal Stamp Cancellation, 8-10:30 a.m., Post Office.
* Bicentennial Ceremony, 3 p.m., Town Hall.
* Chicken barbecue dinner, 4:30-6 p.m., Chatterbox Club. Prepared by the Chatterbox Club & Hartland-St. Albans Lions Club. Cost if $9 per person, family rate available. Music by Charles Haiss.
* Play featuring the Levi Stewart Players “Laffing Room Only,” 7 p.m., Town Hall. Cost is $6 per person. Written by Tim Kelly; refreshments by the PTO Club of the St. Albans Consolidated School.
* Bicentennial Ceremony, 3 p.m., Town Hall.
