AUGUSTA — A new Skowhegan Savings bank branch will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Wednesday to celebrate its opening.
The new bank is located at 450 Civic Center Drive, just north of the Tractor Supply Co. The branch is the first to offer an open-dialogue banking format, which removes the “barriers of a traditional teller line and allows for more personalized communications with customers,” according to a news release from the bank.
Maine Commissioner of Economic and Community Development George Gervais is expected to attend, as are Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Peter Thompson, Rep. Corey Wilson, R-Augusta, and several bank officials.
