WATERVILLE — The municipal pool on North Street will not open on Saturday as planned, but officials hope to open it at 11 a.m. Sunday, according to Parks and Recreation Director Matt Skehan.

“We had our major feed line from the pump house burst when we went to fill the pool on Friday,” Skehan said Thursday. “We called the contractors and it’s fixed now. We filled the pool and it’s just going to take longer to balance the chemicals.”

Skehan said people should check the city’s Facebook page to see if the pool will open Sunday.

Other than the feed line issue, the pool is ready to go, he said.
