Phillips spray-paint vandal sought by sheriff

PHILLIPS — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who spray-painted a barn Thursday.

A barn on High Street with a large American flag painted on the side was tagged with spray paint Thursday, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. A similar incident occurred in May behind True Value Hardware on Main Street.

The department asks that anyone with information about the vandalism call Deputy Chris Chase at 778-2680.

IN WINSLOW, Friday at 1:13 a.m., Marc Joseph Morissette, 35, of Waterville was summoned on a charge of operating a vehicle after a suspended license.

Arrests

IN SOMERSET COUNTY, Thursday at 8:08 a.m., Donald Alfred Merrick, 39, of Skowhegan, arrested on a charge of attaching false plates.

9:57 a.m., Pamela Renae Parks, 31, of Embden, arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant. The charge stems from felony warrants from California.

5:12 p.m., Arthur G. Dickinson, 45, of Norridgewock, arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and obstructing the report of a crime.

8:46 a.m., Dennis Patrick Stewart, 43, of Skowhegan, arrested on a probation hold.

9:20 p.m., Gerard Charlis Latham, 37, of Detroit, arrested as a fugitive from justice for a warrant from the state of Illinois and two warrants from Maine.

IN WATERVILLE, Thursday at 4:30 p.m., James Chandler, 48, of 13 Edwards St., No. 1, arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault, on Ticonic Street.
