Smart meters were supposed to save us money. So far it hasn’t happened for me.
We were told we could see our electricity use at a glance. I couldn’t figure out how to do this. A CMP representative told me you can see it online. Well, they forgot to send me a computer and Internet service.
We were told our electric usage would be cheaper at different times of day. So I asked what time this would be. I was told that residential homeowners are billed the same rate 24/7. So who may I ask is saving money? It’s not me. My smart meter is pretty smart, and so is CMP!
