Scooping up all our phone records is an absolute abuse of power that demands that the Fourth Amendment be observed.

Those reassurances from Barack Obama and his administration have never been persuasive, especially coming from a president who once promised transparency and accountability. In fact there has been a litany of lies, lies upon lies.

Obama said in 2007 that the surveillance policy of George W. Bush, “put forward a policy of a false choice between liberties we cherish and security we provide.” At that time, he was for liberties ahead of security.

Since 2001, the United States has been on the road to an elected dictatorship, total control of the people of the United States.

This plan that is being acted out is a world totalitarian government where freedom once enjoyed by past generations of Americans is long gone. George Orwell’s “1984” is here.

Congress has let the past two presidents get away with this and the American people have acted like sheep. The future of America looks dim indeed.

A senator acknowledged that there are some things he knows that he is not able to share for security reasons. I say to that “hogwash.”

If the trends continue and if this nation does not repent of its many sins, American people will wake up some day, and it will be too late. America will be a giant prison camp under the guise of national security.
