BAR HARBOR — The Maine Sea Coast Mission will be the setting for the Bar Harbor Music Festival’s Opening Day Tea Concert Sunday in which soprano, Angela Mannino and pianist, Joseph Li will present an afternoon of art song, lieder, opera and operetta by Robert Schumann, Mozart, Wolf, Debussy, Obradors, Sigmund Romberg and Luigi Arditi.

This season is highlighted by return engagements at the Metropolitan Opera and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, along with opening the festival’s 47th season and singing the role of Susanna in the festival’s “The Marriage of Figaro” on July 12 at the Criterion Theatre.

Pianist Joseph Li will accompany the festival’s July 7 Pops Concert, and will serve as music director at the festival’s July 12 production of “The Marriage of Figaro.”

Curtain time is 4 p.m. Tea will be served during intermission.

Brass Venture will return for their 10th Anniversary Celebration on Opening Night, at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church.

Eric Ewazen, Composer-in-Residence at The Juilliard School will be the special guest and will give a 7:30 p.m. preconcert lecture. The celebrated brass quintet will perform music by Ewazen, Giovanni Gabrieli, Praetorius, Puccini, Hojnacki and Herb Alpert.

Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for students. Pops, Jazz and Gala tickets cost $40; opera tickets cost $80, $50, $40 and $30. All tickets are reserved seating. The pre-concert buffet dinner ticket (Pops and Gala concerts) is $40, which includes tax and gratuity.
