Jacki Day wrote a letter to the editor, printed on June 28, in which she noted a photograph showed a boy in sailboat not wearing life jacket.
She was very astute! Our policy is all youngsters wear a life jacket on the dock and, particularly, in a boat.
The truth of the matter here is that his mother just changed a dirty diaper and his grandfather happened to catch that shot before he was wrapped back up in his life jacket.
By the way, the diaper was disposed of properly and the boat is, in fact, an inboard/outboard.
