SKOWHEGAN — Ron Paquette Riverfest 5K is set for Aug. 4. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., the race starts at 9 a.m., at the Farmers’ Market site. The cost is $10 to pre-register before July 15, or $12 on race day.
T-shirts and goodie bags will be available for the first 50 race participants who enter.
There will be many age categories with prizes for the top male and female in each, along with other raffles to finishers.
A Pick Your Prize Raffle is going on until the drawing on race day. The choices are: $20, The Pickup Cafe; $30, M. Thai Restaurant; $10, Giffords; $10, The Bankery; $20, Kel-Mat Café; and tickets to The Strand Cinema or rafting for two with North Country Rivers, in Bingham; or two Red Sox tickets, including a parking pass.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the New Hope Women’s Shelter in Solon, Girls on the Run, and the family of Shanon Post.
